I recently reviewed Sabatino’s Trattoria & Bar in South Surrey for Food With Thought.

Upon arriving for a relatively early dinner on a Friday evening, we were seated promptly on the lounge side of the restaurant at a table next to the bar. A few other patrons were already enjoying beverages, and the restaurant slowly began to fill as our meal progressed. Our waitress and staff were friendly, and the place has a comfortable, neighbourhood trattoria vibe.
Sabatino’s was originally opened in South Surrey about 10 years ago by Dom & Debbie Sabatino, who also own Water Street Café in Gastown. In 2012, it was purchased by Sonny Parhar& Reena Tut-Parhar. The restaurant has a full seated bar area with tables in the lounge, a more formal dining room, and an outdoor seating area for those who like to dine alfresco in the summer months. There is a good sized private room in the back that would be great for small parties.
