Friends Having Babies & What to Get Them

Well, I’ve officially made it to that age where it feels like everyone around us is having babies. I’m not too proud to admit that, at first, it totally freaked me out that we’re at that point in life, but as I’ve witnessed the love and the joy surrounding these beautiful couples and their little ones, my heart has melted over and over again. With friends having babies comes the opportunity to spoil those who mean so much to you. I thought I’d share some of my favourite baby finds, from both in-store shopping and online browsing.

White Owl Bank – $19.50

A classic white keepsake. Better start saving for the college education now anyways!

Blue Knit Hoodie – $39.95
The Cross, Yaletown

How adorable is this grown-up looking hoodie, in miniature baby size? Soft and snugly with style.

Honey Dumplings Swaddle Blanket – $34.50

100% organic cotton blanket, handmade in Canada.

Little Twig Body Wash and Body Milk – $12 each

Unscented, baby-gentle body wash and soothing lavender body milk. Practical but still lovely as a gift.

Nursery Wall Art – $24
by Field and Flower,

These customized bird and owl prints would be a nice touch to any baby’s room.

Mary Jane Shoes – $32.95
The Cross, Yaletown

Your friend’s little one will be the youngest sartorialist around in these chocolate quilted Mary Janes.

Bunny Squeaker – $12

I can’t help but smile looking at this little bunny’s face. And it squeaks too! (the parents will LOVE you once the baby has enough strength to squeeze it…over..and..over again..haha!)

Silver Baby Rattle – $19.95
The Cross, Yaletown

Made of genuine silver, this rattle’s not meant for playing with, but instead is a classy little keepsake to treasure for years to come.
