Travel Wish List

My husband and I have a 5 year travel plan that we’re determined to stick to. There are certain things we want to do and places we want to see before we have children. So far, we’re on track with our spectacular trip to Paris and London in April of this year. Next on the list (which occasionally changes) are Montreal, Greece, Australia/New Zealand and a trip back to Europe to tour France and Italy.

However, this list is a bit more exotic. These are some places I would be thrilled to experience in my lifetime.

Marrakesh, Morocco

Marrakesh Market

I will be honest and say I’d never heard of Marrakesh until I received a GOOP newsletter a few weeks ago. Gwenyth’s recent trip inspired me to do some research on the city and its hotels.  I am now totally intrigued and determined to visit. Marrakesh is home to the largest traditional market in Morocco and the town’s square is lined with stations full of exotic spices, dates and nuts. Looking at the photos I can picture myself contently roaming in and out of the shops for hours, entranced by the beautiful colours and textures.

Phuket, Thailand

Phuket, the largest island in Thailand, is known as the Pearl of the Andaman sea. There are hundreds of fabulous and affordable hotel and resort options. It is definitely a popular destination, with beautiful beaches and activities to keep you busy like snorkeling and sailing. I would love to spend time here soaking up sun on the white sand beaches!

Barbados Beach

I have always dreamed of travelling to Barbados, which is the most eastern of the Caribbean islands. The people seem completely laid back, relaxed and welcoming.  There is so much culture and heritage there to discover along with the white beaches and clear Caribbean waters.  It looks like the true definition of paradise.

  1. The picture of the spices is really cool! They almost look fake because it’s so straight. I wonder how they prevent it from falling

  2. Somehow, I ended up reading your blog honey. It’s been a while (probably too long) but hope you’re doing well…

You mentioned about wanting to go to Phuket in Thailand. Knowing you in the past, maybe you’ll like Krabi as well. Have a look, it’s different from Phuket and much more for your style, I think.
